A good turnout of 20 members for the competition, which was held in brilliant sunshine on 23rd August. Ten drawn pairs were split into two groups playing a nine end round robin.
Eventual winners were Jackie Emmett and Paul Booth who narrowly beat Ursula Whitehead and Andrew Warman. The final went to an exciting extra tie break end in order to break the deadlock!
It was good to see a lot of our social bowlers joining in plus two new members who have recently joined us from the Taster Days initiative. Several players had never played a competitive match before and hopefully learned a lot.
