The Brenda Heathcote Memorial Invitation Open competition took place on Saturday 9th August. 10 pairs took part including some from other local clubs. It was played as a limited ends round robin with two groups of 5 pairs, giving everyone a minimum of 4 games.
The eventual winners were Kerry Holt and Paul Booth who narrowly beat visiting pair Rita and Geoff Dunn from Egerton Park BC, by 21 points to 16.
A total of £213.50 was raised for Ken Heathcote’s ‘Not Out At 90’ charity fundraiser https://www.givewheel.com/fundraising/6143/not-out-at-90-if-you-think-you-can-you-can/ supporting Cancer Research, Alzheimer’s and the Stroke Association.

Also, our cake baking team did us proud again by providing plenty to eat during the day.
