The rain seems to have held off, so it looks like what counts as a cracking summer day at Rivington. Fourteen people took part in the bowling, with supporters and bowlers enjoying the drinks and food available at the Rivington Cafe.
Joan Turner was the overall competition winner, with Kerry Holt in second place and Nigel Duckworth in third.
The “bowling at target” prize was won by Kerry – a bottle of wine no less. Nigel won the second bottle with a perfect bullseye.
Thanks go to everyone who helped organise the day and to Val Workman’s husband John, who drove the minibus. (Hope they were not too raucous on the way home).
If you weren’t there, why not?
