The annual Susan Holt Trophy (men’s competition) took place on a very sunny and warm afternoon on Sunday 17th August. There were 11 entries and it was played as a limited ends round robin.
The eventual winner was Peter Oakes, who beat David Greenhalgh 15 – 11 in the final.
Thanks to all who took part and to Margaret, Jackie, Catherine and Kerry for providing the food and sponsoring the competition. The general consensus was that Kerry’s award winning fruit cake was indeed excellent! Thanks also to Kerry and Catherine for running the competition and to the markers and supporters who helped make the day a success. £65 was raised for the Club in donations for the very tasty buffet.
