On Sunday, 11th September we held the Tony Ford Memorial Competition which was supported by club members, friends from the Cyprus holidays and various local clubs for whom Tony played.
There were 44 players in total and the competition started at 11.00 am, finishing at 6.00 pm. Funds were raised for Leukaemia UK and clubhouse development.
Our thanks must go to Andy Warman who organised the event with Terry Ford (Tony’s brother), Margaret Whittaker and Joan Turner. Many thanks also to the ladies who made cakes and served food and drinks. A number of club members also assisted on the day.
The overall winners of the competition were Tony Toal and Kathleen Hadjinicolaou with runners up Andy Warman and Lynn Hartley.
Terry Ford presented the prizes and we are very grateful to all the prize winners who donated their winnings to Leukaemia UK.
