The Doreen Williams Ladies’ Singles competition took place on 15th June. Congratulations to the winner Catherine Oakes and also to runner up Gail Taylor. Third place was jointly achieved by Joan Turner and Pauline Booth.
There were 8 participants playing a round robin in 2 groups. Games were 15 up with a small handicap applied to some of the players based on their current form.
The Competition was organised and run by Paul Booth with help from Andy and Kerry and with thanks to the markers, measurers and all who took part.
The drizzle held off until the final so all in all a pleasant afternoon’s bowling for the Club ladies. The Green had been verticut and mowed in the morning so was a challenge to everyone as it was running more quickly than usual in places.
Prize money was sponsored by Kerry Holt and Andy Warman.
